The Sylvia Thomas Center would
like to acknowledge the Children's Board of
Hillsborough County for their continued
dedication to the welfare of the children in our
community. Thanks to their generous support,
the Sylvia Thomas Center staff and USF Social Work
interns were able to attend the CWLA (Child Welfare
League of America) Conference in Washington, DC this
year. While in our capital, good use was made
of their time by meeting with our Florida
Congressmen. Meetings were held with Putnam,
Castor and Meeks office's to advocate for our
Post-Adoptive families. Sylvia Thomas Center
has ongoing communications with the DC
representatives in regards to the issues discussed
on services in our state. |
